Re: '92 Pearly LS-L: NY

I only hope I can say the same thing. I really don't want to sell it as a used car for someone to drive it into the ground in a few years. Although if I keep track to it it will make me a good parts inventory .

I told my brother that if he decides to sell the car...I will buy it from him.

The car lives 1 hour from me...so next time I'm at his place I'll take more pictures. Here's a pic I took right before we got to the PA border.

Yeah, as they say, that SVX was well bought, and you gotta love those 5 speeds.

I'll see your trailered Pearly and raise you a trailered Silver!

It seems my phone is five years old and my post-production skills make me look to be about the same age.

Re: '92 Pearly LS-L: NY

Question: How did you get out of the car after putting it on the trailer? When I brought mine home this spring I had to climb out through the trunk, the door only opened a couple inches.

Re: '92 Pearly LS-L: NY

I thought the UHaul trailers had the fold down fenders?? On the racer, I usually went out through the sunroof.

Re: '92 Pearly LS-L: NY

Both trailers shown above yours had fold-down fenders.

Re: '92 Pearly LS-L: NY

So did mine, although they may have been a different format. My doors were still 2-3" from clearing the trailer.

Canadian spec trailer? Of course, a flea can't walk under your car these days...

That's most of it right there. Save for the clutch, I'd drive this car anywhere with confidence.

Re: '92 Pearly LS-L: NY

Once you are rolling at 65 the clutch should not slip???? Maybe to pass it would or a really steep hill. If you make no sudden throttle adjustments it should roll along . How bad does it slip?

Re: '92 Pearly LS-L: NY

You're fighting some good wind at 65mph. Three years' familiarity with the car says that, on the highway, the clutch wasn't exactly holding a 1:1.

I'd trust it to get me around in 30-35mph traffic, but significant acceleration and high-drag speeds are out of the question as sold.

I got the one-way beater truck and trailer. The truck was from Arizona and the trailer from Georgia. Go figure. Most misserable POS I've ever driven.

I had to lift the front back up to get it on the trailer, it was higher than stock when I put it on.
