help: power steering whine
did some research and cant find an answer.
In the morning when i start the car, there is a "whine" coming from the engine bay. After it warms up the whine goes away but as soon i start to drive it and turn the wheels, the whine is there. i put the car in park and it whines. this leads me to believe steering pump so i checked the pump and it is fine. any ideas? i replaced the steering fluid less then 3k miles ago. bad pump? the car is a little hard to turn, but i blame the age and weight and i havent drove another svx for a long while to tell the differences. Thanks in advance

Is the "whine" the belt squealing against the power steering pulley?

well i guess putting the wrong fluid could cause that issue...my bad. dee dee dee
how would i flush it? as for "check" i ment i checked the fluid level lol Quote:

it is not the belt i know for fact....it can be the bearing??? how would i check that??
also what ATF does it take? i dont have the owners manual.....
