West Virginia 4.44 trans & diff swap meet! Saturday, April 23rd!

Ok, I spoke with Tom (Svxfiles) tonight who's still recovering from the exciting time he had at Reading over the weekend... j/k bud

It looks like we'll be doing the trans and rear diff swap (from a '97 Legacy Outback) on my SVX at his place on Saturday April 23rd. We'll start shortly after Tom gets off work at 2pm and work at least until sunset (~8pm), before finishing up Sunday am.

There'll be beer, laughter and of course a trans swap in progress. Feel free to let us know if you might be in the area and want to pop in for a beer or two...or three or four...heck just take the whole case and go home!

Thanks! You know on car-part.com I saw an '04 Forester XT 5spd on sale at a junk yard in NJ for $1000. That isn't a bad price for the strongest 5spd Subaru brings to the US...

We'll see how things go. Currently, they're calling for a 40% chance of rain in Cumberland, MD this Saturday and Sunday. If this weekend doesn't work, we'll probably have at it the next.

Does Tom's place has a garage? It looks like a rainy week and this coming sat/sun might have snow? Keep us updated. If I can make it, I'd love to drop by....

Due to ......insurance concerns at work, I can only use the shop, and wonderful back saving lifts, when I'm working on my cars, or Di's car or my kids cars, so unless I adopt Chi ke , the shop is available for "paying" customers only.

So, unless we go through more than EIGHT POINT SEVEN-FIVE thirty packs , Chi ke should be ahead.

He DID say the beer was on him

Beer is on me. However, if the quantity ever approached that amount, I'd bring a keg and some bags of ice!

Chike,
Sorry, but I won't be able to make it - plans with the wife already.
But good luck on the swap! It was good meeting Tom at Reading! Wish you could have been there!
Later,
Harry
