Re: SVX bodykit and front update

I like that you're exploring possibilities. They won't work for traditionalists but there's some cool ideas here. I really like the BRZ rear bumper a lot, though not sure I can break away from tradition enough to want to try it. Maybe. The blue Impreza/SVX looks like what the SVX would be if it had come out in 2007. The timing was off or something for that to be a reality. If the SVX had come out in 2007, we'd all be guarding that styling as if it were sacred.

Does anyone have any of the motorsport spoilers like Flatt or K-staff painted the same as the car? The ones on their website are white so it's hard to tell whether or not they'd actually look good in the car color.

Another possible body mod, if anyone wants to mess with photoshop: delete the rear wing and round the sharp rear/top angle of the trunk lid. It'd be Porsche 928-ish. Might be nice, definitely not traditional. I just received photoshop for my computer but having trouble installing, so can't try it yet. @&%#

I think K-Staff looks weird unless larger side skirts are added.

Yeah you're right. I always imagine Dayle's Alcyone sideskirts on the car and wonder if it would look okay with the K-Staff

John, don't take this the wrong way, but:

* If you put anything on the internet - text, pictures... even your personality or actions - they're wide open to criticism, and you're subjecting yourself to it voluntarily. It's hot in the kitchen.

* You're going to take **** when venturing into advanced products like body parts when you've been trying for nearly a year and half to compile what breaks down to select pieces of tubing. You can deny the term "vaporware", but it's what you've got to show.

You know full well that I stood up for you when there was heat being slung your way here when you were away for your wedding. I don't think anybody will do that now. Accept your reputation and your responses; they're appropriately placed.

First two jpg's didn't show up for me. I like the second two. From more of a 50/50 angle front/side, it might be easier to tell if the side skirts would look better like Sean486 says.

I like the look and wonder what'd look like in reality. What I've noticed is that the SVX looks tons better in real life than in photos- to me, anyway. So, I wonder if the car with body kit would look better or worse.

It's a fun experiment to mess around with design changes and I'm enjoying it whether someone puts it together or not. I'd like to mess around with body mods some day but probably won't do more than take the spoiler off and put it back on a few times while I mess around with mechanical mods like the tranny swap I just got back.

IDK why you're taking crap and don't care about any history here. Thanks for the photos. For me, the SVX is a toy that I can rationalize as practical so thanks for exploring possibilities.

Re: SVX bodykit and front update

They sliced that bumper up to get more air to that massive FMIC. The opening in the grill isn't normally that dumb looking.
