RWD SVX featured on Speedhunters

http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/09/...ys-subaru-svx/

I follow a number of car blogs, and rarely if ever see an SVX featured. This one might ruffle the feathers of a few purists here, but I was still thrilled to see it.

Re: RWD SVX featured on Speedhunters

That started out as Wickedjuggalo's car. I picked it up when he moved from North Carolina to Oregon and it became a parts car due to it needing literally everything.(220k+ miles, interior trashed, paint was awful, blown head gaskets and was a FWD L)
Chris (who made it what it is) called me up one day asking for a clean SVX to make into a drift car and told him I had a southern car and would be perfect, but would take some work since I had started stripping it. (this included the core support being removed) I gave him spare parts for everything I had removed that he would need and quickly went to work. Also sold him a spare motor since that's cheaper than doing head gaskets.

He has excellent vision and engineering skills. Nothing he does is half assed or done without a decent amount of thought.

Yes, a very very cool project, by a very awesome guy. Been following it on the facebook. He does work really fast, while still doing it in a proper, and creative way. Did the blog mention that he's swapping a V8 into it now?

The last picture showed a small block Chevy in it.

Also, anyone know what front lip that is?

Anything in it, he made himself-sideskirts, lips, etc. It may be one from an impreza that he modified. I can't remember. And yes, he's got a 350Chevy and will be putting in a T5 transmission.

And yes, he works insanely fast. He came down to pick up the engine from me and chat. Left my house about 4pm, it's about an hour and a half drive back to his place, and by 9pm he had removed, cleaned and painted the intake manifold and replaced vacuum lines and put it in the car ready to run.

Besides this, he also has an impreza coupe rally car.
