Q's about TPS

Mourning fellas I have a few Q's about the TPS found in our engines.

Not to long ago I was driving the Legacy and noticed hesitation at Full throttle... I didn't make sence because at half throttle it would run ok but if I brought it at or over3/4 throttle the thing would hesitate like crazy. So I thought the plugs were bad so I changed those out(uhh don't want to do that again for a while) and still the problem persists. The car also idles really high 1500-2000rpms.. So I pulled the codes... (I never hooked up my chk engine light after the swap) So I grabbed my test light hooked it up to the check engine light wire and grounded the diagnostic wire. Sure enough the CHk Engine light was on and it threw to me the TPS code (and a couple other sensors that I found were not propelly hooked in from the swap). Cleared the memory checked the the TPS connection. Started the car drove and the same problem. The TPS code came back. I looked to see how to clean the TPS on the how to's but it was just a blank screen... huh. So I hope you guys can enlighten me on how to clean the TPS.

Also If the TPS is just dead (happened on my friends EJ22T that had similar problems as mine) are these things interchangeable from different engines? Could I use an TPS from an EJ22 or EJ18 OR EJ25? It looks Identical to the ones from my other Subarus. How much do these things run? Couple hundred bucks probably? Well thanks guys!
