If you want software for larger injectors I am willing to make software for dual svx maf meters and sti yellow top injectors.

the STI yellow tops are 565ccs i think... good size injector. When you say dual SVX mafs... how would that work on a single turbo... split intake or one in the inlet and one in the charge piping... how about both in the charge piping? I was also thinking... maybe run a z32 maf in blow thru... would that work better?

Re: ECUtune Stage II reviews

The dual air flow meters are run in parallel with a dual intake. They could be in front of the turbo or they could be blow through after an intercooler.

Smile Re: ECUtune Stage II reviews

Wanted to share an update on my 2v7 experience.

I have now installed the 60-1 turbocharger, which is much larger than the small hybrid previously installed on the car.

I am running 2v7Flex fuel version on gasoline map currently. In addition, I have moved to a blow-through which provides improved throttle response when compared to when I placed the MAF in the fenderwell. This may have nothing to do with blow-through and everything to do with the distance the MAF was from the combustion chamber previously. In anticiaption of that, I have placed the MAF in close to stock distance. Additionally, it its upstream from the bypass valve and It no longer hunts for idle coming off of boost.

The car drives remarkably well. it accelerates smoothly and does not appear to have holes. Due to the size of my intercooler, I get some heat soak at the top of third. For safety measures, I have installed a 6:1 RRFPR for added fuel. Thanks again Mike and look for some dyno numbers in the near future.

approximately 9psi at the manifold, and It spools by around 4500rpm.

Here is a guesstimate plot at 6500-rpm 1.65 Pressure ratio at .75 Bar, 11.5:1 AFR, 90% VE estimate. Even if my adiabatic efficiency comes in lower I am in the 70% sweet spot for CE.

Power?
MPG?

I have wrx 5 speed, msd, stebro, pully, 1v5 etc.

Re: ECUtune Stage II reviews

When it's actually released I will release it as Stage2Av1. It's stage 2 software with the same fuel and timing maps as the stage 1 aggressive software. The main feature of the "aggressive" software is that it no longer depends on/uses the knock sensors to seek the edge of knock and add in a reasonable/optimal amount of ignition advance. I put all the ignition advance straight in the primary ignition advance table so you run full/optimal advance by default. The knock sensors are only used to retard the timing if knock is sensed. There is also a new fuel map used for the default software. With the new fuel map you get improved fuel economy along with improved performance. The 2nd tune on the memory adaptor (the one that runs if you send +12v to the memory adaptor) runs the old fuel map with the new timing maps and offers even better performance but no improvements in fuel economy.

Re: ECUtune Stage II reviews

So i assume that is what you would recommend for my build? When are you planning on releasing the new software?

Re: ECUtune Stage II reviews

After some people run it for a while and it is proven. I expect the aggressive version of stage 2 will give the same improvements the aggressive version of stage 1 does over the original but it's unproven as of yet.

I'd release the stage1av1 already but I'm stalling in order to do one big website revision and change to the product line up.

I know this is the stage 2 thread but since your talking about he stage 1 I have a question, similar to cam's. I have a 92 obviously I would love extra power but I need it coupled with better mileage. We do not have lots of Premium available so I end up running 89, or even 87 but I want the best of both if you know what I mean. great mileage and lots of power what would be your recommendation.

Cannot wait to get this in to the car this weekend. Should have some video of the butt-o meter in action.
