But with bigger injectors, you have to have the MAF re calibrated, or use an engine management system.

And that requires a little more turbocharger intake plumbing. Either way, it will be a hoot!

What ever turbo you get make sure it has a warranty and that you install it and make sure it works before that warranty is up.
" can you get ahold of some kind of tuner or metal shop to frabricate or modify a cheap one for you?" Why would you want to modify a turbo? I am confused by your question.

Are those turbos at th link i provided water cooled? Would you recomend a a oil colled turbo? What are the main advnatages and disatvantiges of a oil cooled turbo?

That depends. If you want simplicity, then an oil cooled turbo would be what to go for. I dunno what all the advantages and disadvanages of a water/oil vs oil turbo are, but I do know with a water cooled turbo you can turn the car off immediately and the turbo will cool down through the water, whereas with an oil only turbo you need to let the oil circulate through the turbo to cool it, so the car still has to be running to cool it down.

All turbo’s are oil cooled. Some are both oil and water cooled. the ones that are both just have a water jacket over the oil. I like water cooled turbo’s I don’t think there any reasons not to go water cooled and on the SVX it is easy because you can re-rout the water form the throttle body to the turbo. And with all the space problems in the SVX having a non-water cooled turbo would make things a bit hot.

That is why I bought and installed one YEARS ago, as have several other members. I have since switched to an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, usually set at 44 psi, (when normally aspirated). I have run from 28 psi at idle to 80 psi under boost at 5500 rpm Way too low, and way, way, way too high! BTW, My findings are, that for a NA engine, right around 44 gives the best driveability.

Hmm, interesting. Why does it matter if it's a manual or an automatic? How much does it vary? Just to be clear, when I said new gen I meant anything based on the Legacy line.
