Windows, roof, not working... but seat does?
The whole windows/roof/seat issue is pretty well covered. I thought I had this issue so I delved into a repair. I saw a problem that would likely cause it and remedied as best I could with what I had.
While reinstalling the seat I hit a button, and the motor worked. I thought "Great, back to normal", then tried the window switches. Nothing. Went back to the seat, seat works fine. The seat always works, though. This is something odd I have noticed about these interconnected systems: the windows and roof will not operate unless the key is on, yet the seat will move without the key. One small issue in determining the problem is at the time I had forgotten the seat is on this circuit, so I do not know whether it was out before I cleaned up the wiring. I don't even remember if I checked if it was operating. I did earlier today detect a familiar scent of burning, which could have been a fusible link. Immediately, that's what I thought the smell was, but checking over what I can see, I do not see anything burned.
