manual button?!?!

what does the manual button actually do? when i turn it on i dont really see any difference at all. i just got my svx so i havent really had time to play with it very much, considering im grounded from my car because of freekin geometry grade. it really sucks because i just got my car yesterday and cant really drive it much even though im the one who bought it. but i was just woundering what that button does, is it suppose to like shift at higher RPMs?
thanks-bobby

This topic has been covered a lot. Please use the search button at the top of the page. Put "manual button" into the box and you'll find a wealth of response

No, the manual light is not supposed to be on all the time. It's only supposed to be on when the manual button is depressed.

You don't have a manual button? Is your car automatic? It's the smaller button on the auto shifter. Click in for manual mode, click out for normal auto shifting.
