Seeking info / opinions re: rear brake rotors
Not too long ago I replace my warped OEM front rotors with some nice slotted & cross-drilled rotors.
I left the rear rotors unchanged, but am now thinking I want to replace them .. the ones currently on the car the same OEMs as were on the front. I didn't much like them. However .. I believe (but don't know for sure) that the front brakes do most of the work in stopping this car in normal city and not-fast highway driving. I doubt that I need or will appreciate slotted & cross-drilled rear rotors. Anyone out there have any opinions and/or recommendations as I prepare to replace my rear rotors (and pads).

Re: Seeking info / opinions re: rear brake rotors
If you want the rear to match the front that is the only real reason I know of to run drilled/slotted rears.

Re: Seeking info / opinions re: rear brake rotors
generally speaking the front brakes do about 70% of the braking and create more problems when the rotors get warped. warped front rotors can make the car shake and hard to drive while warped rear rotors tend to cause pedal pulsation and a grabby feel. if you can get slotted rotors for cheap and like the look then go ahead but you probably don't really need them so i would recommend to just get plain replacements.

Re: Seeking info / opinions re: rear brake rotors
If you are running non stock wheels with an open design that show the rotor, you will want to buy zinc plated rotors, so they don't rust as fast. The plating will be gone on the braking surfaces in a day, but the "hat" will stay new looking longer. Drilled and slotted rotors are noisier than stock.

Re: Seeking info / opinions re: rear brake rotors
Thanks, folks.
Icingdeath88 .. I've often looked at the R! Concepts link. Not sure I care so much about the look .. summer wheels are 17" STi silvers, though, and yes it would look good to match the front slotted & drilled rotors. Yes, I now have that sort-of grabby feel a bit, must be from the rear rotors. I have so far very much enjoyed the better braking from the fronts matched with carbon ceramic pads. Thanks again.

Re: Seeking info / opinions re: rear brake rotors
Honesty, just go get a cheap pair on eBay. You can't really get that terrible brakes... I bought a set of 4 drilled/slotted with all 8 pads for $160 and they've been fantastic!
