The Subaru Select Moniter reads the timing advance, and gives a second reading for retard.

It (the knock sensors) can pull timing up to 32 degrees.

Re: ECUtune Stage III development

I'm about to build a new blower system for my car. The lack of hood clearance for the blower pulley in line with the factory pullies was a major obstacle and draw back of the first systems. To avoid this I am going to make a custom alternator with a timing pulley mounted on it's back side. This will let me mount the blower with a "non drive kit (pulley mounts on the front of the blower with no extension drive) in the traditional fashion blowing downwards to a tubing manifold.

I will be using twin intakes with a pair of SVX maf meters and sr20det 370cc injectors with the new aggressive style ECUtune software.

I've ordered a couple of 160 amp alternator rotors from maniac electric to extend in order to mount the timing pulley (two because I'm going to make one for Jon's car too). I'll send the modified rotors and a couple core alternators with machined cases back to maniac electric so they can assemble remanufactured 160 amp alternators i can mount timing pullies on. I figure as long as I'm putting the time into making custom alternators they might as well be a big upgrade to the charging system as well.

370cc injectors will flow enough?

Re: ECUtune Stage III development

Remined me again why you choose the S/C as apposed to a turbo system.

Because I like a challenge. Not really, right now, mainly because I still have a couple of them.
