Z32 MAF issues
I just swapped on a AFM from VG30DETT. I spliced and soldered the harness onto the existing wires and plugged it into my intake snorkel. However when I went to start the car (it did need to be jumped due to the fact that it has not been started in a while) it would start and rev up to about 1500-1600RPM and then slowly trickle down until it stalled out. Is this an issue because the car sat for 5 weeks while work was being done on it or is this more likely due to the new AFM? Any insite?

Do you have LAN's chip?
It will not work if you don't.

It won't work meaning that there will be no gains or it won't work as in the car won't run properly?

The Z32 maf is useless without something to make sense of the voltage.

Take that off your car it is running full rich and you are lucky it started at all,I tested that last year.

What were the specs on your porting? how much for the intake and how much for the exhaust?

Looks like you've been watching SVXFiles and my posts Port matching the intake - injector stacks - heads does wonders (using the phenolic spacers as your templates). The intake can also use some work where the TB attaches - general smoothing of surfaces. Since you want a good mixing of the intake flow, you can probably pass on polishing the intake runners and save your polishing efforts for the exhaust ports. -Bill

Why exactly are you taking the heads off?? You can do the cams in the car with the head on, just the valve covers need to come off

if you are interested to ease your worries i would be willing to sell you a replica of the turboheaders, downpipe, and intercooler piping that i have on my car. I am in need of some extra cash.
