I am ok with that, BUT,
the wideband was showing 20 to 1 to 18-1 at idle and as much as
10.somthing to 1 at 8-9 psi boost.
Since I removed the vacuum/boost line the a/f ratios seem much more stable.
I made a short video of "normal" light throttle driving, followed by a WOT 0-60 run, slightly uphill, with 550#s of people and some bookbags/tools.
The in dash G-tech showed 5.51 btw at 72f.
If I can I'll download the digital film to my locker and post a link.
I left Di's camera cable at work or I'd do it now.
More later.

Oh, the regulator is a Mallory from Summit.
And I don't think they make it anymore.

And Reading is coming!

interesting....
I only have an under hood FP guage, cant quote you my FP #'s, but my car idles at 14.6-15.0, and cruises at this as well, 600rpm(i dont know if your belt driven blower may cuase irratics?) I have dropped down to 10.9-11.4:1 afr at full throttle. I have the FPR seeing boost off the stock location on the manifold.

I have an underhood mechanical fuel pressure gauge that matches (verafies) the digital A-pillar one, but, my digital A-pillar boost gauge is much slower to react than my analog boost gauge beside the wideband.
It some times at lower boost pressures (below 2psi) reads 0, and does not kick up to next higher # untill it is fully there.
Like when the analog reads 4.9 or so the digital still reads 4psi.

I forgot to tell you Tom, I got my MOMO knob to fit pretty good. I had the bottom machined off and the set screws moved up. the knob sits about 3/4 inch lower then what it use too. It is much more comfortable now. I must be insane having a $80 shift knob machined down to fit my car!

I think he is pretty damn close to what the G tech said. I was timing the run on the counter for realplayer and assuming he let off at 60 or just over, it was in the low 5 second range. Way to go Tom!

P.S. Is the Magnaflow ready for Road Demon yet??

72 hours to go and I'll be at Reading!!

It is a little bit leaner than ideal with 8 pounds o' boost being crammed into his engine. He just needs a smidgen more fuel in there - however, I'm trying to get him to hook up the red wire (w/ the ECUTune Stage 2v5) that retards engine timing by 5 degrees. With his Select Monitor, the ECU is pulling 4 degrees on its own - so it looks like retarding it by 5* should be smack on.

I've also been kicking svxfiles in the butt to get his car to the dragstrip. Temps are only going to get warmer - and it'll be interesting to see how she does in 60-70* weather. With the 4.44 final drive and shorter-than-stock ratios of the first two gears (3.207 & 1.619 vs 2.785 & 1.545) and then the big fall-off to the 1.000 third gear ratio, I'm guessing Tom should run a very low 14 @ 99-100mph. If he had a 5/6MT, he would be even faster.

I looked at the vid again and the afr didn't get any richer than 14.1:1 in 1st but I did see it get to 13.3/13.2:1 briefly at the top of 2nd.

he did drop to 11.4-1 at about 6lbs in 1st gear if you look closely then it spiked to about 14 at 8lbs.
