Thumbs up Danica dam' near do'd it!!

I didn't even know who she was 'til a week ago when her name came up at a post auto-X gathering at Newsvx's beer joint. Later I Googled her up & got an eyeful of Miss Hottie Wheels. I don't particularly follow any professional sports anymore, even auto racing. With the almighty buck in the driver's seat, & with as much speculation & excitment generated about who's gonna' hold out for more millions as important as the actual game, added to the "rent-a-team" aspect of pro team sports, I've become jaded at anything past the college level.
However....after watching today's "almost" posted by 100 pounds of ferocious female pulchritude, I may have to re-evaluate my biases.

Ron (Baby, you can drive MY car!!)

Thumbs up 100 lbs of RACER...

I told you to keep an eye on her Ron, and it sounds like you DID!

She made some rookie mistakes, and still came just a few gallons of fuel short of a win. The lady is a DRIVER!

....and how about Jimmy Johnson? Three World 600's in a row!

Ms. Patrick did an excellent job in her rookie outing at the Indy 500 today! She'll definitely be a power-house to reckon with in years to come...

My wife and I have been big fans of hers ever since she was featured in a Car & Driver article 1.5 years ago and shortly thereafter started hosting the 'power-block' on Spike.

She's a grea gal with a level head!

The finish to the Coca-Cola 600 was a classic, watching JJ run down Bobby Labonte for the last 3 laps was amazing. What a great finish.

JJ's three in a row

Bobby got out and kicked the car, but he had nothing to be ashamed about.
JJ's tires were much newer....it was amazing that Bobby held him off as long as he did. A lesser driver would have run JJ high into the wall, but Bobby is a class act....just like his brother Terry.

Ron (Baby, you can drive MY car!!)
Too bad she couldn't do better considering she had what a 75lb weight advantage over the other cars when wet. That should translate into about .25 seconds around the track and about .5mpg more. Big differences in such a long race!!! She should be pushing for weighing wet rather than dry if she doesn't wanna have that ? mark beside her name when she does start to drive with the big boys.

At what point does the 220 pound male driver begin to b*tch about the 170 pound male driver? Perhaps all cars should be fitted with appropriate sand bags to equalize the situation. Anyway, I'll take Danica wet any old time.

Ron.

Ron,

The question is, "Will she take you?"
And isn't the operative word, 'old'?

She may take me in the straightaways, but I think I could lap her in the curves.
