Re: '95 tranny into a '97. Different electrical connectors?
What does the other end of the old electrical connection look like?
I believe if you remove the old cable, the new one will plug right in. Tom

Re: '95 tranny into a '97. Different electrical connectors?
Yes, some of the inhibitor switches had connectors on them, others just had the one connector... You can just plug it in

Hi that's me. The connectors are very different (one is 2 rows of 6, the other is 3 rows of 4). And I am not sure what that component does on the side of the trans. Is it something where that piece the electrical connector connects to can be swapped? |

Re: '95 tranny into a '97. Different electrical connectors?
Old transmission, 12 pin connector, 2 rows of 6
Old trans black electrical component: New trans from a 95 SVX connector, 12 pins but they are in a 4 row by 3 row configuration: 95 SVX transmission side picture, this component is different: As you can see the connectors are not compatiable. |

yes they are... The connector from the old trans is just a jumper from switch to the main harness.
