Re: R1 Concepts Premium Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
Guess no one has tried them... They are pretty pricey!
Maybe someone has a good suggestion. Some source that would be better than the original Subaru that have a tendency to warp a bit? Keith |

Re: R1 Concepts Premium Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
They are pretty good. I'm using the premium ones in the front and the regular ones in the rear. EMC Redstuff brake pads and SS brakelines. It all works very well together. I haven't gotten it to the track as yet though.

Thanks for responding! Do the brake pads come from the same source?
Thanks, Keith |

Re: R1 Concepts Premium Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
Nope. Search EBC's website for the part number and then the part number for online stores that sell them. I bought mine from autoanything, but they took forever to ship them, I wouldn't recommend them at all.
The pads that R1 concepts sells might actually be good though. But the redstuff pads kick ass for sure.

Re: R1 Concepts Premium Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
I am using R1's house branded ceramics front and back, along with there Stainless lines and rotors I think they are working well together.

Re: R1 Concepts Premium Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
I concur that R1 premium rotors and EBC Redstuff are a great combination and are fairly low dust pads. If you don't drive fairly hard, I am not sure I would recommend the pads as they like to be USED! Mainly if you are light on them most of the time, they will glaze over and not act appropriately. Using them somewhat excessively will expose the fibers on the surface of the pad and operate as designed. The drilled/slotted rotor helps keep the pad conditioned and the surface flat in my experience.
Hope that helps

Re: R1 Concepts Premium Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
The stainless brake lines are one of the best ways to improve your brakes even if you don't do anything else. If you start to upgrade rotors and pads, it gets better than that!

Re: R1 Concepts Premium Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
They aren't that hard, but honestly I'd have a shop do it just because it's not that expensive and brakes are kinda super important. Plus bleeding brakes is a pain and many shops have vacuum pumps that make it easier.

Re: R1 Concepts Premium Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
so easy that reading "how to's" would take up too much of your putting it up on jack stands, unscrewing the ends to take the old lines off the new lines on, one at a time, being careful to get the old flat copper washer seals off and out of the way and the new flat copper washer seals correctly placed on each of the new lines as you bolt the end on, and your bleeding the system time!
All that considered, a "how to's" might be a waste of time. Keith |

Re: R1 Concepts Premium Cross-Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors
Very few people have compressors at home. And odds are if you have your own compressor, you're not the type to need help changing brake lines...
