So, what's the latest? It has been raining off and on all day down here.

They got a late start but they ran all the heats. I'm sure results will be posted eventually.

We're about to fire up the grill. Gotta go!

The only heat with dry track was 4th. I ran in second with YT and Eric.

Mellis, Bart and Soviet ran in 4th.

My 'primer' tri-color ran on 5 cyls most of the time. That may be why I didn't wash out. I ran the wipers for 4 out of 5 passes.

I had (1) 'off' but no cones. My best time was something like 62 and change. Results should be on the web by wed.

One thing I did notice, they ALL know what an SVX is now!!

They USED to ask what kind of car that was!

I think that we had 14 on the parking lot and 6 on the tarmac!

Some 'prankster' pulled my magnetic 'Dealer tag' and stuck it on YT's car as he was leaving. (He had to come back so I could go too.)

Re: Pumpkin Carve 2008

Sadly a lot of my pictures didn't turn out. Mostly because of the way the sun was facing the track. Oh well. I still got some good ones. Plus others were taking pictures so there shoudl be a bunch of them. Please excuse the quality of the pictures. When I upload them to photobucket they look like that. Plus in a few pictures you'll see a hair that got on the lense. I removed it after the first couple of shots.

Re: Pumpkin Carve 2008

I got in about 11:30pm. Unfortunately I forgot a camera.

Saturday was my first official autoX and I'm kicking myself for not doing it many moons sooner (way fun) <soooooo much better than drag racing fo sho>

Di & OT know how to take care of their own...there was nothing we needed to ask for, and they're always willing to do more then they need to.

We had huge bonfires (WARNING!) to keep us warm, lots of liquids to quench us, mega food for the tummies, a "hillclimb" on Sunday, and lots of stories and silliness to keep you in stitches. I had a blast and hated it to end...it was nice meeting the new people and seeing the not-so-new.

Thank you Di for having the heart to put up with us
Thank you OT for helping with the ball joint (learn new tricks all the time).
and
Thanks to everyone else! It was a blast!!
