Viscous LSD?

Hellos,

the SVXes use a viscous LSD, right? http://www.cars101.com/subaru_svx.html

Reading a bit about that, Wikipedia claims the viscous diff center has basically failed by 60.000 miles and must be replaced.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limited_slip_differential

If it is indeed VLSD, what are your experiences with this? Did you ever change your diff center, did you notice any difference etc

Cheers
