Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

How pleased will I be with 4.44?

QC - Check

Power mod - next up.
I've had stock gearing, 4.44 auto, and 3.90 and 4.11 5-speeds, and the 4.44 auto is no doubt the best "Bang for your buck" upgrade you can do, will REALLY show up in town driving....you're gonna love it!

If I'm ever really, really rich and bored in my old age... I'm going to try and get a job delivering pizzas in the nicest car I can afford. Just cause I think a Ferrari 458 Italia pulling in your drive way with a Dominos light on the top would blow some peoples minds

Adjust your TPS first.
0.48 volts on the white wire.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Bought my first item from Motorsports Warehouse...eVar! Dayle had a Dark Teal door at his shop. Mine was crunched, getting rusty at the cladding mount holes and the window drive mechanism had broken. Body work was too costly for me to consider on a vehicle worth this little. My father-in-law is in Tucson, looked at the door with a buddy, and bought it for me. My wife's grandparents ar bringing it back to MI in April All for MUCH less than trying to fix the existing door!

I also bought front and rear sway bars and mounts, new sway bar endlinks, new custom leather shifter boot and parking brake boot, and a set of Hella SuperTone horns for the Legacy specB. Looking forward to mounting them up soon!

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Got the old 2 wire speed sensor out of the 5 speed (finally! someone used threadlocker when they put it in) and got the SVX sender in. Extended the wires, and I finally have a working speedometer.

Also got the Hella Supertones in behind the grill and wired up. Still need to fix the exhaust badly though.

Wouldn't it be a better solution to fix it properly?

Hahahhaaaa you make a good point, because the exhaust on there was already done badly . It is in sorry need of repair though- I'll fix the holes by the hangers for the time being before replacing it from the cats back when it warms up around here.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Fixed the mystery break in the front harness by the hood lock causing my RF turn signal to not work, and replaced all the illumination and 'on' bulbs in the interior switches. It looks like the illumination circuit was shorted at some point, because many of the bulb bases were slightly melted and blackened, and every single one of them was blown.

Put my intake manifold back on after replacing all the brittle hoses underneath. Reinstalled the timing cover, pullies and AC compressor.

Almost ready to go back in the car!
