Oil sending unit related question...
If I have a faulty oil sending unit will it keep the car from starting? Also is it connected to any fuses that could blow inhibiting the SVX from starting?
I attempted to tackle replacing the knock sensors and noticed the terminal to the oil sending unit was not connected ( possible reason for giving CEL for both knock sensors? ) anyways I connected it and went to start my car and it almost started but died. Trying a few more times and all it would do is turn over. I unplugged the terminal like it was before and the damn thing will not start at all and just turns over. Both sensors looked ok ( looks can be deceiving ) so I didn't even replace them thinking it's highly possible the sending unit is somehow connected together. Never a dull day with these ****ing cars! & before this I've been driving the car daily and no issues just sometimes slow starts.

Found the problem:
What are the chances of the battery going kaput right after connecting a terminal? Lottery-like luck I guess.... wrong application. Hell of a coincidence. Anyways, $103 later and viola. With that said, the oil sending unit being connected (or not) has **** to do with the knock sensors, at all... I guess that is only natural though.
