ECU READ important
If you have done the upgrade on your ECU be sure you hot glue the chip in place. Don't ask me how I know this but it will fall out sooner or later if you don't and the car will Sop DEAD where ever it is .

Re: ECU READ important
It was in the car for over 3 years without a problem. It was installed per ECUTune's instructions. Over time vibration worked it free.

Re: ECU READ important
It doesn't hurt to hot glue the board into the factory socket. The Stage chips 1v1, 1v.1.4, 1v1.5, 1v.2 are still removable if a new stage 3 comes along .

But you can install the ECUTune chip, I think it will work with a CA car. http://www.ecutune.com/svx-stage1.htm You will not gain any peak HP, but you will gain in the lower end power. Its power that you can feel. Just make sure to give the car a day or two to feel the full benifits. I just looked and I see that 1AV1 is avable, witch would have even more improvments then the 1V5 that my car had.

Re: ECU READ important
What we need is a sticky with a collection of dyno runs. I would love to see the impact of various upgrades.
1. Chip upgrade on stock car 2. CAI upgrade on stock car 3. Intake upgrade (are these still available?) 4. Fuel injector upgrade 5. MAF upgrade 6. Exhaust upgrade And various combinations of these.......

So, if I understand right, I need to buy a socket and the chip from ecutuner if I want the car to be faster in the answers while driving in the city. isn't it? with the installation of the POWER switch I feel the car the way I wanted, But still feel the problem when I try to pass somebody departing from zero. What can you tell me from your own experience and from what you've heard after adding this chips to the ECU on the SVX? Also, what is LIMP mode? |
