Re: who wants an aftermarket rear sway bar?
Sell the car OR sink more money into it. Not both.

Not yet. My floor jack is currently inaccessible due to a large pile of hard snow. :/

Ok, I've got the original sway bar off, but I am at a loss as how to remove the other shorter bit. I turn the nut and the whole thing just rotates and there is nothing else to grab.
--- Never mind, I got it. Turns out after I scraped away the years the other bit isn't completely round after all.

Just took it for a test-flogging.
Even with my shot suspension I could feel right away the difference it made, even at very low speeds. Worth the money and I would put down for another group buy along these lines.

Re: who wants an aftermarket rear sway bar?
Well folks I know you've been waiting for updates.
Sorry to keep you, but things are rolling again. I've decided to do a larger batch this time around so I think I'll have 15 or 16 bars this time for sale. Last week I ordered all the bushings, and today I ordered 10 sets of endlinks. I even got a 5% discount because I've been buying so many! hahah Anyway, parts are coming in and I'm thinking that I may be able to pick up the bars this weekend to begin my stage of fabrication with them. FOR ANYONE WHO IS ATTENDING READING... If you are attending the Reading meet this year, you could be in for a special treat. I have decided that it would be a good idea to add to the festivities in whatever way I can. Well, that way just so happens to be me GIVING AWAY A SWAYBAR TO ONE LUCKY PERSON AT READING!!!! That's right, if you're attending Reading you have the opportunity to WIN a BontragerWorks 22mm rear swaybar kit!! One ticket will be awarded to ANY interested party by Mr. John Hoffman (who will be my go-to guy) and during the event a winner will be drawn and announced! Keep in mind this is NOT a raffle (there is no cost to enter) this is a GIVEAWAY!! Keep your money in your wallets! Now obviously there won't be a bar there since they are not ready yet (SORRY!!) but you will be given a gift certificate (bascically your golden ticket!) which states that you are the winner, you are happy, you can't wait to get it, etc... Also, there is only ONE condition to this, but I just want you all to know it. In the spirit of the event, IF the winner decides to they don't want it, it can be sold to someone else ON THE CONDITION that the funds from the sale go directly to the network. Comprende? Do you understand? I don't want someone to get this bar and then just sell it to someone to make some $$. If you are the winner I would like it if it were installed on YOUR car that YOU drive. Anyway, I just wanted to do something nice since the board has been so kind to me and extremely helpful in so much of the work I have done on my SVX. I'm sad that I won't be able to attend this year, but I would like to try to make plans to come next year and join in the festivities then. Anyway, good luck to all who attend, and God Bless! May this Reading be a safe, fun time for all who attend! -nevin

Re: who wants an aftermarket rear sway bar?
I have been consulting with Nevin on this for a while and we are in complete agreement about his last post.
To reiterate: I will be taking a list of all of those members who are sincerely interested in getting a swayber for their SVX. It could be someone who has already committed to buy one from Nevin, or someone who genuinely wants one, but can't afford it at the moment, etc. Once that list is compiled, I will give one ticket to each registered member at the meet. (a husband and wife, with one SVX, does not get 2 tickets) Once the drawing is held and the winner is determined, I will take the winner's name, Network ID, and email address and insert it into the winning "coupon" at Reading. I will then send it directly to the winner's email address as an attachment. It will look like this: They would then send Nevin an email, with the attachment, giving him the shipping address and other information he may need to provide a ship date and tracking number. Nevin will also be sent a copy of the completed coupon as a backup. This way he can also contact the winner directly. I think that the one condition identified is fair. There is no cost in getting the ticket. If the winner decides not to install the bar and wants to sell it to someone who REALLY wants it, the money received is to be donated to the network. The seller can use the donated funds as credit for his annual contribution to the network if desired. Since this swaybar was given freely as a gesture of appreciation, there should not be personal profit being made. .

Re: who wants an aftermarket rear sway bar?
Well I am definitely wanting this and would love one but I honestly had been waiting until I had the proper funds available-AKA, after I sold one of the SVXi that I have fixed up. I will be at Reading as well, so if this qualifies me for the "drawing", I am all for it. If I'm not properly qualified, I understand and no hurt feelings, I will just have to wait until I have the money.
