Possible 20th Anniversary license plate
Gauging interest
There is the possibility of having .040" aluminum license plates made for the 20th Anniversary Meet. Still trying to set up the webpage with the company so that you could order directly from them. This means anyone should be able to order whenever from anywhere. There is a possibility that a member can arrange a large pre-paid order and bring them directly to Reading to deliver them. The new logo is a revision of the 20th Anniversary.world meeting.2011, recently held in Japan. The words "2011 world meeting" were removed and the date was changed to 2012. They are standard 6" x 12" size and would be available in black or white. Go to http://www.buildasign.com In the lower left corner under HELP, click on "pricing. The material is .040 aluminum. The sign size is "License Plate 6" x 12". Pick your quantity and click "see your price". The more you buy, the cheaper they are. Price for 1 is $15.60 each. Price for 2 is $12.08 each, plus shipping, and so on. Here are proofs of the two designs available. Made from original hi-res graphics. WHITE PLATE BLACK PLATE More later... .

The easiest way to do this is to let everyone who wants to, order their own plate. Here are the steps:
ONE Download the first two attachments in this post to your computer. One is the black plate and one is the white plate. They are high-resolution .jpg files at 600 dpi. Open each one here first, then right-click on the image and "Save Image As..." and select a convenient place on your computer (usually the desktop) where it is easy to find so you can upload it again to Buildasign TWO Go to http://www.buildasign.com Click on LOG IN and register for an account. THREE Find the link for LICENSE PLATES or PERSONALIZED LICENSE PLATES and click on it. Select the "Start from Scratch" template FOUR Upload one of the images, whichever you prefer, from your computer. It will automatically center it on the plate. You can then add other lines of text as desired. Here is an example: (I added two lines of type in Times 14 pt. size. to the original plate) FIVE When satisfied with the design, either as uploaded or with added type, select "Save and Continue" Choose your material (Aluminum), your size (License Plate 6" x 12") and add to cart. After you Proceed to Checkout,You can then input your billing, shipping and payment information. You can always go back and order more at a later time and edit your design. This is the simplest and safest way to get these done. Saves on taking advance orders, collecting payments, having the shipped to one location and re-shipped, etc. No one gets left out. You can always go to the pricing link and type in quantity and see the discounted price. Once you register, you will probably get a "Welcome to Buildasign" email, which will give you a coupon code for a 10% discount off your order. So register first, add your design and save, the en wait for the email before checking out .

Cool plate idea. Too bad in my state you cant have these on your car...
In CT you have to use both front and rear plates, GAH!!! Plates-Failure to display number plates CT Sec 14-18(a) Fine: $117.00 This is a moving violation in this state... What most people do in Wisconsin, is to put the license plate thing like this in with the normal 4 bolts, but then use the bottom two bolts for the actual license plate and have it essentially hanging down below the actual license plate frame.

Yes I am in Conn. too . we went 10 years without front plates until the troopers got tired of not being able to read plate #'s on oncoming cars or after a pull over. Your idea has merit . Double sided tape on the back and you can stick it over your plate for car shows etc. In our case you need 2 .
