so it's fair to say then that in most instances the 5mt's that have a problem with stalling during decelleration with the clutch pushed in only do so once warmed up but there are some cars for which the problem is more pronounced even to the point that it occurs during cold engine operation?

oh, and just in case people who don't have 5mt's and aren't familiar with what we are discussing now read this tread and might otherwise get the wrong idea......the stall problem we are discussing now is not a problem with the stage 2 software. We are just looking into the possibility of our using the software to provide a fix for a problem common among those who do 5 speed manual transmission conversions.

The only complaint with the software is the poor gas mileage........................ from always wanting to accelerate at WOT to take advantage of the new timing and fuel mapping! And that's with the Stage 1 v.4 chip. Saving my pennies for the eventual upgrade to the bigger MAF and accompanying chip.

Is there any reason a Q45 maf will not work in place of the z32?

A 93-94-95 J30 MAF will work, but you have to have the right years, AND it must have a gold/orange label.
I have the info at work, and I believe it MUST have "N62" in the last block of the part #
I'll post a picture later today.

To quote LAN,
"The Nissan Z32 Mass Air Flow Meter was used on 1990-1995 300zx and 1993-1995 Infinity J30 models. This mass air flow meter is a direct bolt on replacement for the SVX Mass Air Flow Meteralthough it requires a different electrical plug."

BUT we all know it will not work without LAN's chip.

I ask because while perusing ebay it seems the Q45 is a common alternative to the z32 so I figured they aren't much different, but Inifinity being the supposed higher end of Nissan maybe a slightly better choice?
It was said to be able to acheive/handle more power/air.
The Q45's injectors are direct bolt in so this shouldn't be a long shot.

I have bought Q45 injectors, as has SVXRide, and they DO NOT FIT!
