Very nice, it shouldn't be to terrible of a job. The only hold up will be extending the EGR tube. Ingenuity will be our best friend and OT's ways may be very influential!

I'm so ecstatic to get these, I might not wait until summer to install them afterall.

I don't know how many of you have engine cranes, but several times after unbolting the "stacks" from the heads, I carefully lifted the complete intake manifold et all SLOWLY with the crane, making sure everything was level and square streaching the still attached EGR tube. Since it is a stainless steel tube with several bends it has always worked for me.
just a thought.

Set #1

Broke my saw blade preparing the others, so that's all for today.

What's everyone's thought on EGR blockoffs? They would be quick and easy to make. One metal one for the manifold, and one metal or phenolic one for the IM.

Steve, I BELIEVE that on any SVX newer than a 92 would get a check engine light if the tube is not there.
Some early 93s did not have the EGR sensor on the back passenger side intake manifold, so those with out the sensor should be fine.

Ah yes.. I see the sensor on my 93 there...so I guess I don't get one.

I could still make them for the rest of you 92s out there, unless there is a good and easy way to fool the ECU with a block off on there.

Wonderful work! I want a set but I'm spending on all my money on getting other things done currently. :/

Somewhere in the morass of forum info, I thought we saw someone else saying if the sensor stays plugged in then no codes but then again if you get a code with a carbon blocked tube that would argue that no tube equals a code (post 92s that is).

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ocked+EGR+tube
has tonnes of info.

I don't NEED a block off plate, but if you include it in the kit I wont argue with it.

I own a 95

Re: Phenolic Intake Manifold and TB spacers for the SVX/EG33 coming soon

I am waiting for the bolts to come in, probably this week. They already shipped, so should be here in a day or two.

I have 3 sets of IM spacers done. I have one more IM and then 2 TB spacers to make up, then just box them up and ship.

Should be shipping the first orders out early next week, assuming the bolts show up.

For now I think you can just bend your EGR tubes. That is what I will do with mine. I bent it some by hand when I took the IM off, so it is not an impossible task.

I will work on a block off plate solution that will not make CEL happen, but not until the current orders are done and shipped.

Whoop!
5 Sets boxed up and on their ways.

I will work up some real instructions, as the ones I enclosed are rather feeble but y'all are smart and can figure it out, right?

I will put mine on next weekend and will take a lot of pics, etc..

Thanks everyone!

Re: Phenolic Intake Manifold and TB spacers for the SVX/EG33 coming soon

I've added a rough draft of the extra work you have to do when installing the spacers. It's on my facebook page, and will soon be at my normal webpage once I clean it up a bit.
