Replacing steering wheel, cruise question
Hi guys... I recently acquired a late model Momo steering wheel, with cruise control stick, from a late model legacy. I know some of you have fitted these to your SVX's. Is there anything I need to be aware of? Will the cruise control stick simply "plug & play"?
Also, my SVX is non-SRS but the wheel I got has the airbag. any issue simply leaving it on but disconnected? Appreciate your help |

Re: Replacing steering wheel, cruise question
I fitted a wheel from a WRX STI Version 8, the connector for the cruise lever was different, but the wiring had the same colours, I cut and solderd, air bag wiring was also different, never used the air bag on my UK 96 and the 92 JDM doesnt have air bags.

Re: Replacing steering wheel, cruise question
On the 90s MOMO LGT wheel I put in mine, there was a spot to mount the cruise control stalk from the SVX wheel, so I used that. If the plug is the same, just plug it in an it will most likely work just fine. Otherwise, you can probably mod it to use the SVX stalk, as long as there is room to fit it in there.
There should be no issues with leaving the airbag disconnected, but you might want to cover the connector with electrical tape for safekeeping.
