I'm 56.

The last 20 years really flew by. My daughter will be 20 this year, she is older than a good number of SVX owners.

In Ireland, a teenager would NEVER drive an SVX. The road tax for an SVX is in the highest bracket at E1342 per year, that's about $1825 a year. The big problem would be insurance. Insurance is loaded based on engine size. A teenager would not get insured on the SVX with it's engine in the highest bracket.

This is a long-winded way of saying I'm in the young SVX owner profile, for over here

Joe

Interesting it works out that way. I suppose that also insures that kids down own wrecklessly fast vehicles.

I knew a kid round here had his daddy pick him up an Evo for his graduation. He's crashed it so many time it makes me lol. The funny part is his daddy refuses to pay the repairs so the car has bent wheels, cracked bumpers and a smashed in side lol.

And he still can't drive it. Myself I started on the other end of the spectrum, this here SVX has to be the fastest thing I've ever owned and I've been told by multiple people that I drive the car faster than pretty much anything they've seen (and I'm not talking about the souped up honda kids, this came from a man with a Z06 lol)

In the late category

I wanted an SVX from the time I first drove one, the '92 Los Angeles Auto show car. (in Feb. of '92) I'm looking for the photos I took that day. As a writer, I drove a couple more in '94 and '95, then tried to buy one (the last press car in the fleet) in '95, and couldn't get financing. So now, a few weeks past my 74th birthday, I'm finally going to get a pearl white '92 with relatively few cosmetic issues. My ex and my daughter ask why I want to have three cars, and my answer is that I want to enjoy them while I still can. Just waiting anxiously for the paperwork to complete. Then I've got to find a mechanic reasonably close (30 miles or so) to care for it. Anybody know anyone near the San Fernando Valley?
