Fastest SVX

Hey does anybody know what the fastest quater mile time for a svx is? and possibly what the setup of that car was?

As far as I know, the fastest time so far belongs to Poweredx2, with a 125 shot of Nitrous, and slicks.

Yup, PoweredX2 has the fastest SVX in North America - he has a full interior btw...

SVXHunter has the next fastest as he went 13.80 in the stripped down SVXrex at the Grass Roots Motorsports Challenge last year.

PhastSVX has the fastest N/A 5spd SVX with a 14.5 @ 95.

Actually I've been shown some timeslips in the 12's from svx's with stage II but none have been posted on these forums. It was someone here that sent me the link though. Maybe they will come accross this thread so we don't have to wait for subafreak to post his times.....of course now that he has his transmission parts maybe not too long till you have timeslips subafreak?

A 12 sec Stage II awd SVX wouldn't surprise me one bit, as Poweredx2's runs were with his fwd SVX that was grappling for traction...

Wouldn't surprise me if the owner of those slips was Dayle @ MotorSport since I know he has a Stage II kit on one of his SVXs and runs at the dragstrip a lot.

P.S. After getting my '97 Legacy Outback trans installed, the first 14 sec awd 4EAT SVX run should be in the books.

Well I did get to drive it last night for the first time with the 6 speed

Pretty damn fast without the NOS. I can't wait to get the bottle hooked up.

Tell us more. Any quirks? How do you like the shift points? For my own curiosity if you could.......if you shift at 6500 in each gear what speed is each shift at? How about at 7,000?

The time from the guy next to him looks like he woke up when the SVX's tires squealed.

Nice overall run though, better than a stock Mustang GT

That was with a slipping burnt up clutch. Expect Phil to trounce on HunterSVX's times as soon as it warms up this year.

You know what's even funnier about that Ford Maverick timeslip?

His trap speed when he crossed the 1/8 mile split in 12.97s was 46.01mph, and by the 1/4 mark (reached in 22.94s) it was only 45.69mph!

I didn't think you could slow down from 46mph with your foot on the gas, but he did!
