Transmission Reference Sheet
Sometime in the past few months there was a link floating around that gave a list of Subaru transmission part numbers and their gear ratios.
I thought I bookmarked it when it was posted, but I guess I didn't. I did a search for transmission gear ratio, and that gave a crap load of pages. Thanks for your help...

Is there a difference in the push/pull trans other than the method of engagement/disengagement like is one hydrolic and the other cable?

well all cable activated are push but some are hydroulic. All pull styles are hydroulic and have potential to engage stronger than push style.
