Just checked the 99 and 00 legacy FSM's, and the 02 and 04 impreza FSM. You're right, it is 43.5 psi.

Particularly with the high compression of the stock motor he's worried about part throttle timing advance getting out of hand once he starts pulling fuel to compensate for larger injectors, so going too big can be a real problem. If the needs presents itself and the tuning on the 370's goes well I'm sure 555's will be in the future. |

I got the pressures strait out of the factory service manuals when I worked at the Subaru dealership, now that I've moved on to an independant dealership, I have no easy access to those books. The increase was with the 2000s and up as I remember. Note, I do not believe that they list the sticks and autos differently now.

Is any one sure that STi fuel injectors will bolt in to the SVX fuel rail? Or will there need to be some costome work done to it? Becasue STi injectors are definatley cheaper than than the nismo 555s.

Those yellow tops aren't WRX injectors, at least they aren't 02-05 WRX injectors. 02-05 WRX injectors are top feed, those are side feed. They may be Older WRX injectors, but more than likely they're an older version STi Injectors. They look almost identical to these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
The SVX injectors look almost identical to 92-94 NA Legacy Injectors. Infact, I do believe they are the same. There are multiple people using STi, or SR20DET injectors in 92-94 NA Legacy Rails. So since the injectors are the same, then yes you can use new STi or SR20DET injectors. Also to note, there are a couple different types of sidefeed injectors as seen in svxfiles' pictures. You want the kind the outside injectors are, not the middle one. I believe that's 95-96 300zx, all SR20DET engines, Q45, Version 5-6 STi, USDM STi, 05 Leg GT/ Out XT, 04-05 Forester/Baja. But don't quote me on that. |

I have also heard that the 2j22 NA injectors are the same as ours. Are some STi 550 CC injectors even availble for purchase?

In the course of my supercharger project, I was buying lots of stuff off of E-bay, and you don't all ways get what you pay for.
That's why they have a question mark after the WRX, and 300ZX labels.

I was over at the legacy board, and it looks like the new 05 forester tubro, STi, legacyu turbo all use 550 Sti injectors that will bolt into the existing fuel rail on a NA legacy.
I know eabay is a horible place to buy some things, but some are aculey OK, thats where i found my SVX after all. |

I checked out the part numbers between a 93 legacy NA, and 92 subaru SVX and the fuel injectors are the same. So if the information from the legacy form is good, which it really seems to be, we can bolt in the newer, i gues 2004 plus subaru 550 fuel injectors with out any problems.

SVXtasy do you think that your t3/to4e would be support the HP that i want?
What about this tubro? How much do you think it would cost to rebuild? http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=765950 Last edited by svxsubaru1; 05-07-2005 at 08:14 PM. |
