Re: 92 pearl svx

Your svx days may be over, because you dont want to sink any money in yours, and you expected to buy an svx that has a resealed engine, head gaskets, brakes, etc. to also come with a new paint job and pay chump change for it.

Re: 92 pearl svx

If possible, would you be able to post some more pictures? Also, anything else that you can think of about the car (I understand you don't know much about it, but I guess anything else you can think of or find out)? From what I read, all it needs to be road worthy would be the brakes? From the way you wrote it, it sounds like the steering works, it was just converted to a manual rack? Sorry about all the questions, I was told by my wife I can get buy it if I want, I just want to know how big of a project I would be getting myself into weeks before a deployment.

Re: 92 pearl svx

i know she is leaking brake fluid in the back passager side. i know she is now leaking coolant. she will need new hoses and such from sitting. the interior is in very good shape for a 92, of course it has the driver side seat wear. the windows work...the engine starts....no power steering. i know she needs e-brakes. i took her to a mechanic to get myself started in getting her road worthy. he stopped at the brakes and said that was going to run me 2 grand. my husband and i tried to get some of the work done, but we don't have the tools and the know-how. i can get some more pictures....what do you want them of?

i live in northampton county pa, right outside of bangor. i am 25 minutes from the nj border. if someone is close and wants to look at her, be my guest, just pm me with your number

Kelli

ps the ac worked the last time i turned her on

Re: 92 pearl svx

That's close to my old stomping grounds. I grew up in Bucks County- Churchville, Bensalem, Trevose. I guess a couple pics of the areas where the leaks are, so I can see what I'd need to do, and just some general overall pics so I can have an idea of what it looks like. Also, do you know if the a/c works? I understand that you're selling this at parts-car cheap, so I don't want you to feel that you need to put a lot of work into trying to sell it. Like I said in my last post, I'm pretty sure I'm deploying soon, and we're putting everything into storage while my wife and daughter go back to Louisiana, so I'd need to have it road-worthy before I go so I can drive it to wherever it would be stored.

Re: 92 pearl svx

i was told by the mechanic that the brake lines are shot. i can take some over all pictures some time tomorrow. the ac worked the last time i started her up. i am not really trying to sell her as a parts car. i would really like it if someone with the know-how can get her back on the road. but i will take what i can get. i need the space in my garage and we have been trying to get her moving for years and it just isn't going to happen.

Re: 92 pearl svx

I'm sorry, bad wording on my part. I wasn't suggesting that you were trying to sell her as parts, I was just saying at this price that's what some people would be interested in her for. If I bought her, she would be my project car and eventually be a daily driver and trip car when I go on training, as neither of my cars are all that comfortable on long trips. I look forward to seeing the pictures.

If you could get a couple of where the car is leaking (the rear pass. brake line you mentioned, and if you can see where the coolant is leaking from), and just a couple outside and inside, so I can show my wife. Thanks

For that price why not keep it and fix it yourself?

Re: 92 pearl svx

I am still up for sale. I will get pics asap. Been really busy lately but I still want to get her to a good home. Please be patient with me about the pictures. I had some unexpected things come up. I will try my best to get the pictures this weekend

Thanks
Kelli
