Re: who wants an aftermarket rear sway bar?

Very generous, Nevin!
Someone will be lucky to win it and I also hope they will install it instead of selling it.

And I want to hear more impressions of this bar from people who have installed it. This thing is amazing!

If I were to win, it would have to go on my Claret.
As I understand the rules Diana is not eligible, as She would not put it on Her Silver.

None of them are "spoken" for actually. I will let you all know when I am posting them for sale, and then it will be first come, first serve. I think this will make it easier for me instead of having to contact people and all that.

Basically I'll be letting everyone know a few days in advance when I'll be posting them for sale, and then it's first come, first serve.

Like I said, I'll keep you all posted, this will not be without warning!

Re: who wants an aftermarket rear sway bar?

I may have changed my mind in the last day or so about a few of my policies regarding the swaybars.

I currently find myself in a bit of a financial burden which is only increased by the desire to have all of the parts for swaybars paid for (by me) before I ship them out to you guys. With doing even more bars, this has only worsened my burden.

So, I'm wondering what you guys would think about signing up for this bulk-buy style (yes, there would be a list again) but it would also require a 50% pre-payment. 50% from a signup list of people would help me out so much with everything, and would also help me to get a faster turnaround for delivery I think. Basically, I still need to buy 10 more sets of endlinks, pay for my bushings, and pay for powdercoating.

So, what I'm asking is...

1. Would telling you that I could have them done in 3 weeks be too long to wait?

2. Is $130 too much to ask for on a part that you won't receive for another month?

Please know that I did it how I did it before because I HATE holding onto other people's money, but this time it has simply come to a necessity.

I expect the list would be 15 slots, and that the bars would be ready to go out mid-may.

What say you all to this? And no, don't send me money YET. Let's wait til we get it sorted out as to what exactly I'm doing here.

Yes, you may have noticed that the price went up slightly, but I'm also now including grease, and my prices have slightly risen on a few things.

The total would now be $260 SHIPPED in the lower 48 states. Outside this area is extra to be determined.

Re: who wants an aftermarket rear sway bar?

.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with this, Nevin.

On any custom-fabricated order, there is usually a down payment. The advance 50% to order and the remaining 50% prior to shipping is fair. Three weeks is not too long to wait.

Most people who commit by doing this will surely follow through. It's easy to get onto a list to secure a spot (even if you're not sure) if it doesn't cost you anything. Putting this policy in place should assure only serious interest in your swaybar.

Putting out all of the money upfront is not fair to you, especially when whatever profit you make is so small.

I too agree that is a worthwhile idea, I am sad that the price has risen, I was hoping to get one this summer, though I understand the reason.
