Reading XV - April 2014

With the help of Bobby, Matt, Nate, Bill and Melissa, planning has been going on for the Fifteenth Annual Reading SVX Meet. The meet will be held Friday April 25 to Sunday April 27.

We're not ready to release any other details yet, but I wanted to get the date out there so people can start to make plans.

This is the 15th Reading meet (my 10th) so we do have a few more activities planned for this year. If you only go to one car based event in Morgantown next year, this is the one to attend.

Re: Reading XV - April 2014

With all due respect, Facebook takes a lot of consistent time and effort to maintain successfully. The fact that this is the 15th anniversary caught my attention. Already asked my SVX if she could make it or, do I need to buy an airline ticket.
Seeing Old Tom model an XL Forum shirt is one big incentive.

We will be putting all official updates on this forum, but we also use FB to reach a broader audience and hopefully bring more people to visit here.

We have been communicating with the Blue Mountain Region SCCA again. They enjoyed our participation last year and hope to do it again this year. There are still variables uncontrollable by either organisation that could screw things up, but it is the goal of both of our groups to have another AX at the Reading Meet.
tldr: Probably

Re: Reading XV - April 2014

Whether we make it or not, a '97 Grille will be donated for a door prize or, whatever (currently painted Liquid Silver).
15th Anniversary for an annual meet is a big deal for any organization. This Forum has shown it's tenacity and devotion to live on.

PS. Let us know where to ship it to.

As of right now I will probably be out of town that weekend, but if anything changes I'll get there. I'll send some raffle items anyway.

Re: Reading XV - April 2014

I'll be there as usual. Perhaps in an SVX for the first time since the Laguna was loaded down for Reading 11

(and no, the SVX won't be getting loaded down this time....)

Re: Reading XV - April 2014

No weddings booked that weekend so should be good. Hopefully I'll have my SVX too. It's running but doesn't look as good as it did during Reading X

Re: Reading XV - April 2014

I've been in communication with my contact from the SCCA that held the Auto Cross last year. Unfortunately they are not able to hold the AX this year. The mall is currently under contract to a new owner and the current owner won't allow BM SCCA to hold the event.
