Still here

Yeah, I don't post much anymore... not a lot of time. I do when I get the chance though; mostly in bursts. Still got the ol' beast, not selling it come hell or high water. Even got the girlfriend "converted"; she wants one now too, and as soon as she's done teachers' college and gets a job, that's priority #1 on her list.

Until next I post, Take care all.

All these SVX's for sale cheap, and no place to put them. That's the real problem.

JJCobra here from the beloved state of CT....... Well not so beloved, maybe more like god, i need to get outta this boring ass state. Anyways, short time lurker, no time poster. I would post but I normally only get to see the forums at work and cant post from restrictions put on all the computers. Hope to be getting my first SVX this year though. Have previously owned a '91 Legacy Wagon (faster than a 97 Ford Taurus, but what isn't) a '94 Mazda 626 (a sleeper if there ever was one) a 97 Taurus (got it for free) and now my '93 Legacy Sedan (useless for everything but it gets me to Point A, Point B, and sometimes even Point C.)

Been a while

Been a while since I last checked in. I couldn't believe its been 2 years! Too much work and too many kids in college is the only excuse I've got. Its been an enjoyable ride with my 2 SVXs, but apparently its time to move on.

Had to donate my 93 SVX with 196K to the Good News Garage before the tax code changed; they auctioned it off but I got to deduct the full NADA. What a fun 10 years of ownership - never will be another one.

Kept the 92 SVX with 137K [acquired from PDSides in '02] with hopes of keeping it for a while, but the tranny just went on it this past weekend. Bought it for my daughter at Texas A&M, and she got a lot of use out of it - even a husband [long story and I'm sure I don't know it all] Drove it back to VT after graduation and its been grand - until now. So..... still thinking about fixing it up, but hard to justify the expense.

sucks to hear bout the tranny, but my 97 taurus had the tranny go twice in 2 months, sadly enough the 1st tranny was double the Kelly Blue Book value, thankfully got the second one free cause of the warranty. worst car I've ever owned, never gonna buy anything American again. even my 91 legacy wagon was faster (120 mph compared to 85 [tough to think it was a v6 in the ford...]) and better handling.

hey there...i'm dan...been on and off here since i got my svx in '02. haven't checked in in a while as my ebony '96 lsi has become my garage trophy due to extensive traveling. my chevy impala rental car just doesn't cut it i miss driving it, but hey, with premium gas close to $2.40 per gallon here in st. louis, i definitely don't miss paying for gas! (i know...some of you are probably angry it's so cheap here...)

little extra info...my dad's got an ebony '95 lsi out in las vegas (bought new...prompted one of my friends at the time to buy a '94 red, which further prompted my obsession with these cars until i found the righ one)...i've been trying to convince him to check in here, but as of yet, no luck.

thanks for all the diy info you guys have provided!

dan
