Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Installed the following:

The car is sitting in storage until my garage (and the house attached to it) are finished .

I would recommend one so far based on the amount of current it was able to generate, even on a cloudy day. LINKY

The panel comes with a controller which trickles the charge to the battery. It has a built in 10amp fuse and connects as the middle-man between the battery and the panel.

It also protects the battery from being overcharged which is an important thing to note.

Ok, cool.
Most solar chargers just (and I have two instaled, into The Racer and The Claret, one each)
plug into the 'cigarette lighter" socket, which is non functuioning when the key is off.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Did an oil change today. I usually use Mobil1 synthetic, but Advance Auto had a Quaker State synthetic special deal for $19.99!(5 Qts + filter). I bought an extra Qt and a pint of mystery oil additive.
I have an oil drain valve. It makes changing the oil very clean and easy. The valve is spring loaded but I added a hose clamp just for security

New LED doorlight and overhead

A nice upgrade for $15 shipped from DDM Tuning...overhead is their COB panel lamp, comes with adapters for the festoon type of lamp in the SVX. Doorlights are their T-10 LEDS...

Smile Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Finally installed 90% FULL Polish bushing set - it was an eye opener and got the use of a friendly mechanics 50 ton press ..... got the yellow ones (90SH) - just got the 10 minute mod & 1 minor rear pair to do now.

Also got the R1 Concept slotted & drilled rotors fitted - together with the steel braided brake lines (both from Dayle !! thanks buddy) - just PnP.

Also EBC RedStuff brake pads.

Man what a difference everything makes - the car handles much better, less body roll (still a little squeek every now & then that sure will iron out with age).

The brakes are superb .......

Not sure if I need to even use the Koni inserts that have been sitting in boxes for over 8 years ???

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Gave the Legacy a wash

Then installed new FSB bushings, flashed a stage1 map, and changed the cabin air filter.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

If u do put on a new gold iodized x drilled slotted rotor and caliper with new brake pads like I did. Go slow the first few miles. They don't stop to good at first. If you change the caliper do the rotors too. Do both sides.
