Re: CAI Feeler

Very glad this is moving along again. End of November will be a year since it started. A year is a long time...

Re: CAI Feeler

It's been a battle between benders, manufactures of the aluminum etc., and us. It's been a pain in the ass to get people to do their job. I realize this has not been ideal but until I threatened the bender that they responded. The first benders kept jacking up the prices and didn't want to do **** for us.

As far as power increase, the Tomyx intake showed a 19whp increase and around 20 ftlb torque increase, we are hoping to surpass that we have a smoother merge and longer 2 1/2 pipes the results for the tomyx were taken on a different type of dyno than what we will be using and also was tested at sea level, so exact numbers will be off, however the increase can be seen. We are hoping for ~25 whp increase. Dyno will tell.

Re: CAI Feeler

I was told by someone that the ECU will only handle 250 Hp . I have the 1.5 V chip and still will not surpass that .

It's not that the ECU that maxes out strictly speaking - it's the MAF that can't read more than 250 HP worth of air.

And that's exactly why there's a Z32 MAF chilling in my garage next two 11 370cc injectors and a stage 2 chip.

Proper cold air intake + cams should set me at least above 250 at the crank, hopefully more. Will have to get it on a dyno and find out. In winter. So the air outside is nice and cold and dense.

Please do dyno to low RPM, as well. Starting at 4k doesn't show whether there are actually losses down low, or whether removing any resonators causes misreadings at the MAF.

Re: CAI Feeler

Any updates here? will you dyno on a stock or ecutune ecu svx? I will definitely buy if we see even small noticeable improvement across the rev range.

So it has been over year now waiting on aluminum. :-/

I just want to say I'm sorry to those people that wanted this thing. I just had to chime in and say it should be aluminum..
