Holy crap, dude.

Mine only really blows oil out at high RPMs. Normal driving, maybe a quart every 1600 miles, but say if I tach consistently above 4-5k, it's more like a quart every 200.

with the 4.44's, it sits at 3500 RPM around 80mph i think, now I can't even remember.
this is with 10w40 oil too. I'd step up to 20/50 if it weren't for the cold weather. Don't want to hurt the engine any more than it is

20-21 with a clogged air filter, and 23 with a new one

I definitely miss the laguna and getting 30 mpg+ even at 85mph

Really. Mine has been disabled since 2005 and I eagerly await the day it comes back.

now that its disabled, my brakes don't run as hot. if that makes any sense.

also know one of my calipers was stuck, didn't know till it broke free.

Doesn't make any sense unless the ABS was continually activating, which you really couldn't miss hearing or feeling. It doesn't do anything under normal conditions- your stuck caliper was the problem, not the ABS.

I picked up a set of gold STi BBS wheels for the SVX to replace the gray Primax wheels

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Decided that the SVX needed to stretch it's legs a bit. It's been slumbering in the garage as I've been busy... but also ordering brake parts!

Earlier this summer I had the engine resealed and the timing belt done. I also installed a new battery a few months ago.

So I fired it up... backed it out of the garage, checked the fluid levels and drove it over to a gas station to get a half a tank of gas and get the tires up to the proper PSI. I have to say that this car drives like nothing else.

I took it for a run up PCH and back down to the 10 freeway, to the 405 (got to experience a little bit of traffic) and over to the 90 (a little freeway from the 405 to Marina del Rey, built in the late 70's, it was the unofficial "test track" for Vector Automobiles in the early '80's... you can really open a car up on the 90!)

I arrived back at my garage and put all the newly arrived goodies in the trunk, including freshly rebuilt polymer coated calipers. All will be installed at Renner Motorsports in January.

Happy New Year!

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Today I backed my SVX out of the garage and flipped it around so that the drivers side isnt against the side wall. I did this because Nate will be 5 speed swapping it over the winter. I also ordered like $800 worth of parts from subaruparts.com. I also ordered a new set of Michelin Pilot Sports last week. My goal is to make the car perfect over the winter!

Gene, Coming down is still a plan, but with the job opening up, and how other things are timing out, it won't be until March. I'll send you a PM a bit later and give you some options.

I know, what you mean, and I hope you the best I may not have the funds if I wait
If they are not spent on things right away they end up going to other things.
arguably more important things but thats just my wifes opinion
