When did Subaru ever advertise you could drive the SVX in the rain with the windows open? My GF loves the fact that she can ride with the window down and not have her hair messed up. I think this rain window issue was scripted and totally made up for TV.

yes he is on the boards forgot his name but he posts here all the time,

unfortunately the svx met its fate when he slid into a guard rail a few months after he bought it,

I am sure he could chime in on more details =<

my wife keeps telling we really should have kept the svx for her and evo x for me,

to this day i still regret selling it, even if i kept it and stored it even

Any of you guys see the UK Top Gear when a UK politician (deputy PM to Blair) John (fat boy) Prescott was on in the reasonably priced car? Feb 2011 ish here.
Me and my daughter were guests there of one of the production team.
Got to meet Hammond and May - Clarkson was having a cig at the meeting time !
Great day out - lots goes into making it and Clarkson is more like a stand up comedian really funny guy (and very 'blue' off camera)

Now about the Youtube SVX clip .........please?????

read the full thread from the beginning. One of the posts there has a link to all episodes. It worked for me. It's not youtube,something else if I remember correctly.

I don't recall ever seeing subaru advertise that specifically. But, I know I've seen it talked about here.

You can not post something that does not belong to you or that you do not have rights to. That is a copywrite show.is was not worth it. They were not honest . They were even playing practical jokes on each other to make the cars fail . ( shaking the champagne bottles before the caddy ride over railroad ties, moving the beer mugs for the avoidance test , and turning up the pressure and vol of the water and diliberatly shooting it through the window. You would not get that wet in a convertible with the top down in a shower at 35 mph <

was everyone thinking the SVX was going to get the ass-kissing treatment that Motortrend gives a BMW?

the show started out slow, but i'm finding the later episodes to be kinda funny. if you realize its not Top Gear UK (they seem to not even "seriously" review cars, or do the big star small car thing anymore), and just three knuckleheads hooning around in a car challenge of some sort for entertainment purposes. once you realize this, its not a bad show. it sure beats the hell out of "Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo", "Annoying Housewives of _____", or other crap reality shows.

Solar, knowning now the beating they put on that poor SVX, I am glad yours wasn't put on the chopping block. The sale of the SVX at the end had to be a farce. I recall the owner listing the featured SVX on craigslist, boasting of how it was on Top Gear.

Wasn't it listed for like $3,200?
