Transmission - Internal Filter Change

Chike, how did you find the part number for the internal filter screen? I've been browsing the subaruparts.com website for a while, under all appropriate categories, and can't seen to find it... They do suck with their taxonomy at times, though. I'll keep looking, but if anyone knows what strange, abstract category it's under - let me know.

Edit: I just found it - it's under the "at.control valve" section. The part number you metioned earlier, 31728AA011, matches it.

So, 31728AA011 is the number of the strainer (for all years that were equipped with it). 31397AA040 is the number for the trans-pan gasket on years 92 and 93. 31397AA041 is the number for the trans-pan gasket on years 94 and 95. subaruparts.com has and identical trans-pan gasket illustration for 96 and 97 as it does for 94 and 95, but it appears you cannot order the gasket for those years - there is no link.
