Re: fuel pump removal
One is a transfer pump. Because the fuel tank is basically divided into two halves by the driveshaft there has to be a way to get the fuel to the side with the main pump. Hence the smaller transfer pump.
It's also why if your car is very low on gas and you turn the key to on, you can sometimes here a sucking/gurgling noise from the tank.

Here's something I keep forgetting to bring up,
ever since I replaced my pump it seems like there is no vacuum in the tank. I mean when I unscrew the gas cap there is no whooshing sound of air being sucked in. Normal, abnormal?

Re: fuel pump removal
Well, I replaced the fuel pump with one that I know works (tested before installing). Fuel pump is not kicking on. All the SB fuses are good and all the others are good also. I get voltage to the pump from the relay, but I dont hear it running and the car wont start, grrrrr.

Re: fuel pump removal
Harvey, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Altho it wasnt the modulator that was the problem, I found a wire that was disconnected when I removed the power antenna (3yrs ago). It just happened to be a ground wire and the car started fine after that.
