new prob w the eyes..

Had a visit w the eye specialist today. I had a small developement develope over the last couple months. My 'shootin' eye has a 'curtain' moving up from the bottom. I'm 20/20 from the blind part, up.

Detactched retina, they said...
All that crap I had happen last dec and january of this year were the beginnings of this saga.
I am getting ready to add a new chapter to my long list of 'life's experiences'. The only thing I know fer sure is that, If I ignore it, IT WON'T fix itself! 100% of the time, it results in blindness if not corrected.

I have a co-pilot for the trip out there and a pilot to get me home.

should have a 'report' by thursday

Dr told me "NOT to do anything involving heavy lifting or strain". Yesterday, I bent a 24 in pipewrench and burned up 35 6013 welding rods repairing the tow dolly. It's a good thing that I didn't KNOW that I wasn't allowed to do that! (otherwise, I would have to haul cars on an 'unsafe' dolly!)

I'm sorry to hear about the complications. They can fix a wonderful range of things with eye surgery these days that could not be contemplated years ago. Technology is good news for eye problems.

In your case I can imagine they would "weld" your retina back in place using a laser.

I hope the report is good and they can get you sorted. Meanwhile, really, really, seriously man, no bending, no lifting until they get you sorted.

You have got to give the medicos a chance Jerry, it's too serious to risk the loss of one eye.

I'm rootin for you.

Joe

Just got back from 5 hours of HELL, get another 2 hours worth tomorrow. They sucked some fluid out of the eye and shot gas into it Eye patch, " Keep the bubble on the troubble" and come back tomorrow for a laser treetment.

The 'curtain' is gone. 80% success rate w this proceedure

TY for the concern

We'll be keeping fingers crossed for you, so keep your pecker up.

You saw Trevor's story, so it's good they are attending to you quickly. Stick with the instructions Jerry and give them a chance of fixing you up.

Joe

I ain't worth a 'poop' so far. I can see but I'm not allowed to bend, lift, and I have to keep it dialated for 3 more days and the bright screen hurts to look at. Since I spend all day at work looking and typing I guess I'm not ready to go back yet.

I talk based on absolute experience and knowledge of the subject. I have completely lost all the sight in my right eye as a result of a detached retina. It would appear that as yet yours is not fully detached. At this stage it can be corrected but time is vital.

Mine was left for five days and too long, because a doctor messed about. As a direct result of this, two operations were not successful.

GET TO A RELIABLE EYE SURGEON NOW, NOW, NOW!!!!!!!!!!! RIGHT NOW.

Do a and you will find out that I know what I am talking about.

P.S. I have sent a PM by way of back up. If anyone can make immediate direct contact with this important advice, please do so.
