... because it doesn't go all the way to the wheel? I suppose it is POV?

I would paint it flat black no matter what color the car is

Maybe... I think it ends "too abruptly" so to speak... get thinner and thinner all the way to the wheel is how I pictured it. Also I see some "space" in it on the side, I guess I thought it would fit better on the side?

Flat black might look funny on some cars. Probably would work w/ a white over black car though.

Obviously, all IMHO.

No, you are right. it does end abruptly on the sides... This is a prototype and I know Eric has plans to make the merge more smooth...

Oh ok, Thanks for clearing it up Tom.

Might just buy one yet! Gotta see the final I guess to make my judgment. Really, I think I'm just an anal retentive perfectionist about body work

Hmm...yes, that is a particularly akward angle at the not-quite done sides.... Im debating weather to bring the whole lip up and blend into the ending mounting point for the rubber piece or to stretch it to the wheel. With what I already have, it will likely be best to go to the wheel...Look for some more developments on this and another project in the near future

-Eric

P.S.- a close up of the shape of the leading edge of the lip...Oh look! a bumple bee! Hahhahaa!

I think a nice blend into the sweep at the wheel opening would be best. It'd be easiest to mold, and install. The prototype does suffer from the abrupt end, but given the pricey alternatives, I like it just the same.

I REALLY like the profile across the front. It's aggressive, without being dangerously low.

See, thats the problem. The sides are a royal pita. there's alot of shaping going on, most of which actually would make the part impossible to remove from the mold. In order to make it so it CAN be pulled from a mold, you lose support and mounting points for the sides. It really is frustrating

i know you meant another eric but hey i'm one too.
just put a 100 miles on it.
about $50 in AL stock, nutz N bolts, plus the rubber floor matting (got my scraps for free) which is easy to trim.
in case i wanna increase ground clearance.
we'll see if there's any change in mileage.
i haven't had it fast enuff to notice any aero diff.
but soon........
