Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

I thought I saw and old pic of a reading meet that someone had a glass sunroof.

Would be great. I did see it in a car someplace , if I recall it was an aftermarket unit I saw. If you did replace it, would it still slide over the roof? Or would it be permanent ?

The Impreza RS does not have a glass sunroof- none of the 93-01 Imprezas with sunroofs had glass from the factory in the USA. They are all tilt-up metal very much like that in the SVX. A Legacy glass roof from the 1990-1997 vintage may work (I know they were available in 1994 at least, had a 94 Legacy sedan with a glass sunroof). Some of the Foresters also have glass sunroofs in about 2000-2003 timeframe that may fit.

My 91 Legacy Sport Sedan had a bad leaking glass moon roof but it went back into the headliner.

Ah yes, good point- the factory glass roofs did all go back into the headliner, not tilt up.

light weight aluminum crank pulley, removed the intake thing in the fender, bypassed throttle body, spectre air filter, power mode switch.

so pretty much nothing that really affects output.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

I replaced my cruise control electric vac pump, Have not tested it to see if cruise works again though. I also did the starter relay mod, After replacing the inhibitor relay with a straight though wire months ago and still getting the click click start I have come to the conclusion the ignition switch is more then likely the culprit So I changed out the inhibitor relay and put mine under the hood for the mod.
Then I replaced my coin holder with a set of heated mirror and parking light switches Have the stage 1 chip connected to one and power mode mod for the trans connected to the other.
There is less room behind that coin holder then I had thought. I had to tuck the wires carefully up and still the switch isnt flush as it should be. though it is in good and not too noticeable.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

well havent done it yet but just put the parts out on the floor tonight for what i hope to be a very productive weekend.

Im heading over to Tom's and we are going to try to get the engine mounts, swaybar, spark plugs, cv axle and some seals installed. There is clearly more waiting to be done but seeing them on the floor just gives me more motivation to get it done.
