Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Our 92 ebony with 237k ran rough this morning, engine missing. Using the SVXWN search for guidance, pulled codes- code 14 #1 fuel injector - again, using a how-to from this website, replaced fuel injector with a spare. Running smoothly now. If it weren't for this group, I couldn't own an SVX!!!

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

I finally had a chance to switch my winter tires out. While I had the wheels off, I dicided to do a quick caliper paint job. It's not the best way or the neatest, but It's better than it was. Brushed off the loose rust, Used a cardboard stencil to spray prime and paint. Looks good from afar

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Got new tires put on today.

I had no idea how LOUD the winter tires were.

Of course, now I can hear the poly bushings in the car squeaking.

Thanks . The bra rather grew on me- saves me replacing the bumper, but I will have to get a fender. Those spots aren't coming out with anything I try.

So, a few weeks ago I cleaned my TPS and it helped with erratic shifting. But it was only for a little while. I just installed a brand new TPS and the difference is amazing! Nice, smooth idle and shifting is like new!

Arrghh...missing came back, same code...is there anything else that could cause code 14? Sparkplug, coil etc...? Missing goes away after about 30 sec., only does it on startup, not every time. Has done it both cold start and restart...

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Installed my new Energy Suspension sway bar bushings. Of course I had to paint the bar too...

Then I swapped rear lights from my parts car. The originals were cracked and had some moisture in them.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Had it fully detailed inside and outside. It came out really good. I didn't know my black paint could shine like that.
