Non Subaru oil pressures can give false readings.
If you order them from your local Subaru garage they should be in by Friday, or Wednesday.

I sometimes get higher prices at my local Subaru dealership, than from www.subaruparts.com
But here is their current listed price;
25240KA040 Oil Pressure Switch $21.24 $16.82

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Thanks for the info on the oil pressure sending unit. Mine was leaking as well so I bought a cheap aftermarket one. Now the oil light comes on at idle and goes away above 1k rpms. I disconnected it because I was sick of seeing the light come on. Will call the local dealer and get one tomorrow.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

After months of research and having such a difficult time trying to find an acceptable body/paint shop, I have finally ran across one that seems to have pleased me with their work. I did the spoiler test to see how the paint would come out and to make sure I'm sold on the color. SOLD Night and day difference and... please, do forgive me in advance for the cheese music. There's not a whole lot to work with on the good ol' YouTube

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Just picked up the car from the shop, and after about 4500 miles on bad rear wheel bearings..... New bearings feel Soooooo good . It's so quite and smooth again plus, I can turn down the volume of the radio to a decent level

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

I have determined that the engine is knocking...and that I am getting a series of "clunks" from the transmission .___.

Also, it will randomly studder when the idle goes down when I'm stopping and as soon as it does this, I get this really loud electrical ERRRRRRRRRRRR noise.

My new steering rack came today from Rock Auto. It only took 3 days and I only paid for ground shipping! =D

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Came out to the svx at work today to find a flat rear tire with a nice big concrete nail in my 1 month old pilot sport. Argh.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Did this today, unfortunately I forgot to eject the CD in the old player and it belongs to the library. Tomorrow I will take it out again and connect the old system long enough to remove the disk. I'm really not very smart sometimes.

This is my old system, I think the WRX one looks more appropriate in the space, what do you think?
