I managed to fix it, thank god. I just broke the shifter trim tabs, so now it won't sit still. I also broke the drivers side tab on that panel that holds the carpet to the center console.

They've really been bad for longer than that just took me 2 years of being lazy about it to do them.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Trying to find a decent body paint shop is hell. The one I thought I was going to go with because he sweet talked me and said "We're not Maaco" presented me a car they completed in which my lip started trembling. You're right pal, even Maaco could do a better job! Wth!? I thought it was just dried up wax around the edges but oh no! Just a few chips here... there.... and there! Oh ****, there too? No dice! Did I mention the scratchy looking swirls?

Think I found a shop today that'll take care of me so I dropped the spare spoiler off I had with them to test their work. We'll see... I'll not lose any sleep over $300 but I'll get sick if it's thousands down the drain.

Because I did several different things here trouble shooting is going to take a bit of time.

I eliminated, and removed my egr. If anyone needs one and most of the misc hardware price of shipping and its yours.

I ported out (slightly) the intake and the runners that hold the injectors, And I rerouted some vac lines.

Before all this I never had any problems with this. I suspect it could even be throttle position sensor. With slightly changed air flow could it be possible the tps is not the same?

Or it could have moved with all the moving around removing it.

It could also be a intermittent vac leak I checked (by spraying a combustible substance) idle leaks but not with any other throttle position.

I was thinking maybe even the iris valve any thoughts on these?
Ok after a few day I think I found it does it when its cold and after driving for a while it seems to even out.
I have a stage 1 ecutune with aggressive switch, I flip it and no hesitation anytime, and it would seem a slightly marked increase in performance too.

So I think the extra air in the cylinders is what is causing the hesitation during open loop fueling.

Oh well that's not too bad.

I got my new trunk struts today and some nice person brushed the snow off my car. Maybe the temps will get above freezing and I can put them on sometimes this month.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Since I just bought the car, I wanted to get a few mods done/parts replaced. All front light lenses are yellowing so I picked up some clear lenses front and side. Also grabbed yellow fog lights and an HID kit and figured, what the hell, I'll grab an intake while I am at it.

Now I need some summer rims and tires since the car with winters only.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Turned the shock sensor sensitivity down (it was at full) because the wind set would set the alarm off if it blew hard enough. Did an oil change, and decided the exhaust probably could use a resonator- I'll get around to that.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Drove home from Arizona today. An Escalade pulls up next to me, rolls down his window and yells "Who makes that?" "Subaru!" I yell. "I've never seen one!" he yells back. I smiled, he gave me a thumbs up and drove away.
I love my car!

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Had the resonator cut out and a new generic in line resonator welded on. No more annoying buzzing sound at 2K RPM. I didn't realize it was so loud anyone driving beside me could hear it. I thought they were admiring the car.
