PWR Radiator
There is a company on Ebay selling the PWR radiator for a Buy It Now price of $479 with $15 shipping. That is nearly as cheap as our special group buy. I messaged the company and asked these included the appropriate problem corrections and they said it did. Just go to Ebay and do a SVX Radiator search and it will come up.

Members here have ordered from that eBay company in the past and they didn't really have any radiators to ship, after a while their money was refunded.
I wonder how they could have 97 available when PWR has less than 10? Get a hold of Brandon@pwr-performance.com and tell him you're from subaru-svx.net, he'll sell you one for $500 shipped to the 'original 48 states'. Mention my name and maybe he'll send me the t-shirt he promised me . . . Dan |

Other uses for the 5-pass trans cooler
I've just recently put in a PWR radiator, and I had a thought: I want to swap a manual into my car in the future, so I would no longer need the 5-pass trans cooler portion of it, but that seems like a waste. Is there anything else I can do with that part of the rad? I was thinking about trying to run it as an oil cooler by using an adaptor off the filter spigot. Any thoughts about this?

That depends on how hot the PS fluid normally gets. We don't want to HEAT UP the fluid at all

Radiator defects?
I've replaced two radiators in the last 3 years. Are the SVX subaru radiators defective? It appears that there are too many problems.

A new OEM radiator should last for about 10 years. The PWR radiators should outlive the car it's in.

All cars with plastic top tanks, according to the radiator shop which did the job, are prone to the same problem. Give our car a break.

Apparently there was an initial run of these rads that had a defective neck. Once you get your in, can you confirm that these are good? I'd like to buy one soon-ish.

Radiator In
Finally installed the PWR radiator from ebay, all hoses matched up but the locating pins on the bottom of the fans barely reached the aluminum tabs (tabs low I guess). Also I used a 1" sanding drum to notch the fan housing just a bit to clearance around the trans cooler bosses. I love the look of an all aluminum "racing" radiator in the car.
This was a "fix" do to the p.o. putting in a legacy style radiator with a bent fan. so I'm missing one upper radiator bracket. I've e-mailed the guys here and on ebay who are parting out SVX's and posted here trying to get one. No responses. Even the guy how sold me the SVX fans didn't respond to my plea, you'd think he would have had one to sell. If anyone has one PLEASE let me know. Help a fellow SVX'er out... Terry...
