To get us in the right frame of mind...

...here's a vid on an FXT tearing up an autoX circuit. Don't underestimate these little SUV/wagons!

Sorry, not real impressive to me, I know a driver who would've toasted that Forester in his Caprice by at least 2 seconds

Well you guys must know people who have amazing skills behind the wheel - maybe one day I be that guy in a taurus wagon who can wipe an FXT driver all over the track!

I can't see either a Caprice or the Tarus doing better than the Forester, however, the Forester DID knock down a cone, adding 2 seconds to his time - that is impossible to make up .

A caprice with a very good driver! Having driven a loaner forester turbo I know very well how poorly it handles a moose test!

Back 100 years ago when I worked in a motorcycle store, MOOSE meant Motorcycle Out Of Service Emergency, it was the way to get parts quickly. What does YOUR moose mean?

Given Ben's background, it could mean this, or it could be the "collision avoidance" definition

Amen. That simple "transplant" makes the FXT a real demon on the circuit. Not sure what mods that guy had on his car though - he seemed to had a decent amount of body roll in tight turns though.

You don't need the XT to be fast. The local (non-XT) Forester autocrosser is plenty quick! (Faster than me)
