^The BBS rims look great on a blue car. Would love to see some pics of that when you have them on the car someday.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

I washed and waxed it 10 days ago (Meguiar's TechnoWax, which I really like), drove it a few times and got it dirty again.

Then I washed it again yesterday ... what a lovely car it is. The new paint job and the STi BBS wheels have settled in, making it very distinctive.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Replaced the front passenger cv axle it was both a little easier and a lot harder then I expected.
I am going to find out if I can rebuild the old one for a spare I am not sure I trust the cheapo I got.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

I work at an auto detail shop (typically working on bentleys, porsches, mercedes, etc. ) and I got the chance to take my SVX in today for some detailing.

I did a full interior detail which includes spraying every inch of the interior with cleaner and blowing dust out of every crack and crevice with compressed air, leather treatment, and carpet extraction. While the carpets dried I started on the exterior. Entire car clay barred, buffed and waxed. I believe the wax we use is called Blackfire Midnight Sun.

Needless to say, she's ready for winter!...as soon as I put the stockers back on

Just about finished the 5 spd swap on the Baja. Took it on the road to test it out, make sure the speedo works. All that's left it re-assembling the interior, and it's ready for registration.

Nothing more exciting than putting on the snow tires and taking a short drive.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Stripped my interior for seam welding and cage construction, installed light weight drivers seat jut to keep puttering around until I get burning steel. Removed the AC system. FIY, there is 15lbs of that tar sound deadening on the inside of the car. Before she was gutted, she scaled in at 3480lbs exactly, with a full tank of gas, no spare tire and jack, plus the lighter STI wheels and tires. Ill take her to the scales again tomorrow to see just what a lack of interior and AC system took out.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

@tiv0 - gorgeous SVX nice picture

Finally got around to putting the glove box back in after about 3 months since the AC blower motor replacement install and even have the gear shifter back on since I hacked up the cluster for the switches.

I just hope these tires will get me through winter... with roughly 35% tread... the roar is coming on louder with each passing day.

.

Changed my oil for the first time in a year (but that was only 850 miles ago)
Now using Mobil1 0W-40 full synthetic with Lubegard Bio-Tech Engine Protectant.

Replaced both knock sensors

Straightened a slightly bowed rear left lateral link. Checked the clearances on Nevin's sway bar- perfect!!

The polo needs absolutely nothing. Alternator voltage starts up at 14.3V and hangs around 13.8V on the highway. Total 250 mile round trip through the mountains gave me an impressive 27.8 MPG. on Sunoco Ultra93
